Automatic Life Preserver Inflator
When aircrew eject over a body of water, it is critical that their
flotation devices inflate automatically. The Universal Inflator
designed by Stratus Systems is a direct replacement for the current
FLU-8 (U.S. Navy) and FLU-9 (U.S. Air Force) automatic life preserver
inflation devices for ejection seated aircraft. Stratus Systems has a
complete line of automatic inflators to meet your specific needs.

UWARS
The UWARS/NG offers a service life of six years and a shelf life of nine
years. To extend service life, the system utilizes advanced lithium
coin cells, which are readily available and easily replaced if required.UWARS/NG
Next Generation Universal Water Activated Parachute Release System for Ejection Seated Aircraft. Following ejection over water, a pilot’s parachute can create drag and
pose a serious danger. By automatically separating crewmembers from
their parachutes during these emergency situations, Stratus Systems’
UWARS/NG product enhances survivability. UWARS/NG is designed to meet the stringent performance and environmental
resistance requirements for high performance aircraft. Its “Built-In
Test” will indicate a “Go/No-Go” system status by measuring battery
condition, circuit continuity and electro-explosive-device continuity. A
single flash of an imbedded green LED indicates a “Go” condition.

| SEAWARS
SEA WATER ACTIVATED RELEASE SYSTEM (SEAWARS)
If aircrew members are unconscious or injured, they
cannot manually disconnect their parachutes. Aircrew may become
entangled in the shroud lines and drown. The parachute may act as a
sail, dragging the aircrew member across the water or fill with water
and become a sea anchor, pulling the crew member under. Survival
depends upon fast separation from the parachute. Water activated
parachute releases save lives.
- Proven design – over water ejection survival rates have increased with usage of SEAWARS and a FLU-8.
- Left and right water sensing units installed onto parachute harness.
- Requires assembly off aircraft.
- In service world-wide.
